Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact message is retained as needed to answer it. It is not shared beyond our organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive routine technical details when a visitor loads a page:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help measure aggregate traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Henry County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court files or personal case data. It provides general routes to the Henry County clerks, trial courts, municipal courts, and Tennessee case-search resources. Public access to an official court file is governed by Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 and applicable law, while the county policy cites Tennessee Code Annotated ยง10-7-503(g). We are not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its own retention and sharing practices, so review those terms before searching.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to clerk of court pages, trial court portals, statewide case-search systems, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be received by:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used for collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has supplied information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable Tennessee privacy and consumer-protection law may give you additional rights over your data. At a minimum, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A new version becomes available here with an updated effective date, so visitors should review it from time to time.
